As at March 31, 2008, InnVest Real Estate Investment Trust (“InnVest” or the “REIT”) held Canada’s largest hotel portfolio with 150 hotels and 19,606 rooms with locations in every province of Canada. InnVest also owns a 50% interest in Choice Hotels Canada Inc. (“Choice Canada”), the largest franchisor of hotels in Canada. The portfolio consists of limited, mid-scale with food and beverage and full service hotel properties.

InnVest operates these hotel properties under 15 internationally recognized franchise brands including Comfort Inn®, Quality Suites®, Quality Hotels®, Holiday Inn®, Radisson Hotels®, Radisson Suites®, Delta®, Hilton Hotels®, Fairmont Hotels®, Sheraton Suites®, Hilton Garden Inn®, Hilton Homewood Suites®, Travelodge®, Staybridge Suites® and Best Western®. Comfort Inn represents 35% of the portfolio based on number of guest rooms. InnVest’s hotels are typically located near major thoroughfares in urban and suburban areas, business centres, government and manufacturing facilities, universities, airports and tourist attractions. The hotels have a diverse customer base, including business travelers, leisure travelers, groups, organizations and corporate clients.

InnVest primary objectives are:

(1) to provide stable and growing cash distributions to Unitholders
(2) to maximize the long-term value of our assets by investing in, and actively managing the hotel assets; and
(3) to pursue selective acquisitions that are expected to be accretive to earnings and cash flow.
